About Us:
Founded in 1959, GMTP (known as GAOS at that time) celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009 and continues to flourish. It stages two major productions at the Ashcroft Arts Centre, Fareham, Hampshire, each year, mostly musicals but occasionally a Gilbert and Sullivan light operetta.

We also do summer and winter concerts, with a wide range of themes and musical content. In the run up to Christmas, we can be heard singing carols for charity at Christ Church Christmas Fair, Stoke Road, Gosport.

We enjoy a lively social life and welcome new members not only for their theatrical talent or willingness to learn or even help backstage, but also for the vibrancy they bring. However, the bottom line is our desire to maintain high standards in keeping musical theatre alive in the local area.
In the interests of developing new talent, in 2000 we formed a Junior Section, known as JuSe, which has already staged several successful productions at Crofton Community Centre. The main aim of JuSe is to learn stagecraft and music at an early age, and then to progress on to join the main Society. Youngsters with promise, aged between eight and fourteen years, are accepted by audition

About JUSE

JuSe is the junior section of Gosport Musical Theatre Production (GMTP) for boys and girls between the ages of 8 – 16.  The aim of JuSe is to develop confidence and self esteem, the ability to work in a team, to develop stagecraft skills  and the love of theatre in young people.

JuSe perform a main show in the autumn with a variety show in the spring.  JuSe also engage in concerts in conjunction with the Senior section and promote the society through local fayres and carnivals.

JuSe rehearse at Crofton Community Centre, Stubbington on Tuesdays from 6.30 to 8.30pm.  There is a joining fee and subs which are payable each term (based on school terms).
